National Table Tennis Squad Finalised for Indian Ocean Island Games

A squad of 12 table tennis players (6 female, 6 male) has been selected to represent the Maldives at the 11th Indian Ocean Island Games in Madagascar from August 25 to September 3. The team trained in Croatia, India, and China. Female players: Fathimath Dheema Ali, Aishath Rafa Nazim, Mishka Mohamed Ibrahim, Laisa Fathullah Ismail, Fatima Jumana Nimal, Aiminath Shiura Sharif. Male players: Mohamed Shaffan Ismail, Musa Munsif Ahmed, Mohammed Zeesth Naseem, Akhyar Ahmed, Ahmed Thabin Shujau, Zeek Hassan Latheef. Two young players will attend the youth camp. Two umpires will officiate. Maldives won three gold medals in table tennis at the 2019 IOIG.
