Data collection begins for the second Time Release Study
Maldives Customs Service, in collaboration with the World Customs Organization's Accelerate Trade Facilitation Programme (ATFP), has commenced data collection for the second Time Release Study (TRS), following its formal launch on 18 November 2025 by Minister of State Abdulla Siyaz. The study is supported by WCO experts. It is conducted in accordance with WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement Article 7.6. Data collection runs from 23 to 27 November 2025. The study aims to measure average release times, identify bottlenecks, and guide reforms to accelerate clearance times and reduce trade costs.
