Ooredoo Maldives has officially introduced PayPal services to the Maldives, fulfilling a key pledge of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu. The service was inaugurated by President Muizzu at the Barceló Nasandhura Malé hotel. Amir Valliani, PayPal’s vice president and general manager, stated that the platform will connect individuals and businesses securely, supporting the 'Maldives 2.0' vision. The inward remittance licence was granted in October 2025 to Techfin Maldives, an Ooredoo subsidiary. The service operates via Ooredoo m-Faisaa.
