According to the Fiscal Development Report, MVR 393.6 million had been received as grant aid as of June 4, exceeding the annual estimate of MVR 373.6 million by 5.3%. Total State revenue and grants stood at MVR 19.1 billion by June 4, an increase of 10.1% compared to MVR 17.3 billion in the same period last year. Tax collections increased 12.4% to MVR 14.8 billion, accounting for 78% of total revenue. Growth was driven by higher Tourism Goods and Services Tax (TGST) and General GST collections.
