Marine Hatchery Skills Development programme opens for applications
The Ministry of Fisheries, Agriculture and Ocean Resources has opened applications for the second intake of the Marine Hatchery Skills Development Programme in 2026. The 14-day course, running from 8 August to 20 August, aims to train 15 participants in reef fish hatchery techniques. It is jointly conducted by the Ministry and the Maldives Marine Research Institute (MMRI). Training will be held at Kaafu Maniyafushi with accommodation, meals, and transport provided.
