The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has confirmed former MTCC CEO Adam Azim as its candidate for the Malé City mayoral by-election without a primary, as only one candidate applied. The by-election is scheduled for 13 January 2024, following the resignation of Dr Mohamed Muizzu to assume the presidency.
