Only MVR 200,000 Recovered of Over MVR 74 Million Identified for Recovery by State: ACC
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) reported that over MVR 74 million was identified for recovery by the state in 15 cases last year, but only MVR 200,000 has been recovered. The ACC also followed up on MVR 50.37 million actively sought for recovery, with MVR 234,531.57 recovered across five cases. The ACC received 1,151 cases, most filed anonymously. Cases included employment, procurement, housing, and land rental issues. This is the second highest recovery amount in five years, with 2019 being the highest at MVR 160 million.
