US Navy-Led Sea Vision Operator Training for MNDF Coast Guard Concludes

The Sea Vision Operator Course for MNDF Coast Guard conducted from 19-24 May 2024 concluded, with 17 sailors completing the training. The US Navy and US 7th Fleet collaborated to enhance Maritime Domain Awareness capabilities. The current administration continues building military ties with the US, which plans to outfit the Coast Guard with modern vessels. Additionally, Exercise Black Marlin between the US Montana National Guard and MNDF runs from 5-28 May 2024, including five Subject Matter Expert Exchange programmes in intelligence, logistics, medical, EOD, and infantry. Infantry SMEE will be held at Kadhdhoo Island in Laamu Atoll, while others are in Malé.
