The Commissioner for Digital Technology is a proposed senior official appointed by the President to lead the Maldives Digital Service agency under the Ministry of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology. This role, created by the 'Maldives 2.0' Digital Transformation Bill, will oversee digital governance, ICT services, and the nation's digital identity system without parliamentary oversight.
