The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) is an international court established by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea to settle maritime disputes. The Maldives government under President Mohamed Muizzu has rejected an ITLOS ruling on maritime boundaries and is seeking international legal advice to challenge the decision.
