137 students who completed National Service join the military
President Mohamed Muizzu initiated the Maldivian National Service training program. 137 students from the first batch completed the MNDF's 72nd Military Basic Training Course. The students come from 70 islands across 20 atolls. President Muizzu congratulated the graduates. The program targets youth aged 16-28, provides a monthly allowance of MVR 6,000, and offers employment in government or private sectors. The first batch started last October with 350 students, and the second batch began late January with 350 youth. The government aims to have an additional 1,000 youth complete training within the year.
