World’s Highest Bridges in China Draw Extreme Sports Enthusiasts
Southwest China's Guizhou Province is becoming a destination for extreme sports due to its world-class bridges. The 2025 International High Bridge Extreme Sports Invitational Tournament is being held, with 31 elite athletes from 21 countries. Events include BASE jumping from Beipanjiang Bridge, Baling River Bridge, and the newly completed Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, the world's tallest at 625 meters. The bridge also has the largest span in a mountainous area. Guizhou is known as a 'museum of world bridges'. The province plans to integrate extreme sports with its bridges, offering paragliding, bungee jumping, and running tracks.
