Court to begin hearings on seizure of Adhadhu equipment
The Criminal Court has scheduled a hearing for June 23 regarding a petition by Adhadhu to recover equipment seized during a police raid on its newsroom on April 27. The raid, involving about 10 officers including one with a taser, was part of a criminal investigation into the documentary 'Aisha.' Police confiscated 20 electronic devices. Two journalists were recently jailed for violating a court order related to the documentary, and Editor Hassan Mohamed and CEO Hussain Fiyaz Moose face ongoing legal proceedings.
