Trump and 18 Others Indicted for Election Meddling in Georgia
Former US President Donald Trump and 18 others have been indicted on 41 charges, including racketeering, for attempts to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia. The indictment, issued by a Fulton County grand jury, includes Trump's call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger asking to 'find' 11,780 votes. Other defendants include Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, John Eastman, and Jeffrey Clark. The charges also include false statements, impersonating public officers, forgery, and computer trespass. District Attorney Fani Willis initiated the investigation in February 2021. Trump denies all accusations and calls the investigation politically motivated. A premature list of charges appeared on the court website, causing controversy.
