Two Names Already Shortlisted for MDB CEO
Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed announced two candidates shortlisted for CEO of the Development Bank of Maldives (MDB) via an international recruitment agency. MDB has applied for a banking license from the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) and will be headquartered at the Allied Insurance Building. The government plans to relocate fuel storage from Funadhoo Island to create the Maldives International Financial Center by 2028, aiming to expand the financial sector and provide access to international markets.
