New Armoured Dinosaur Unearthed on Isle of Wight

Scientists discovered a new species of armoured dinosaur (ankylosaur) on the Isle of Wight, the first such find since 1896. Named Vectipelta Barretti after Professor Paul Barrett, the dinosaur lived between 66 and 145 million years ago. It is a herbivore with spiked armour, distinct from the previously known Polacanthus foxii.
