Solar PV experts team visits Dhiffushi island
On 13 April 2012, a team from Kansai Electric Power Company (Japan) and the Maldives Energy Authority visited K.Dhiffushi Island to collect data for designing a Solar PV grid-connected system. The project, assisted by the Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership (GSEP) and the Japanese Government, is expected to complete by end of December 2012, installing a 40kWp Solar PV system to replace diesel generators.
