Maldivian Pilgrims Receive Warm Welcome in Makkah
A group of 238 Maldivian pilgrims arrived in Makkah on Friday night for the 1447 Hijri Hajj season. They were welcomed at Jeddah airport by Maldivian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Sareer, senior officials from the Maldives Hajj Mission, and representatives of the Makkah Route Initiative. Further receptions were held at the hotel by the Hajj Corporation, Hajj Mission, and service provider Mutawwif Rawaf Mina. All pilgrims on the first flight are in good health and have commenced Umrah. Remaining flights are scheduled on May 17, 18, and 19.
