Ankara Festival to Host Night of Pasta

The Ankara Festival, showcasing Ankara pasta imported from Turkey and sold by STO People's Choice, will be held at Maldives National University on 25 November 2023 from 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The event features free tastings, live music, and prizes. Ankara pasta is the most popular pasta brand in Turkey, with varieties including classic, vitamin, vegetable, bran, and whole wheat. STO hosted a similar event in Addu City last year.

Commemorating Right to Know Day 2012

Transparency Maldives organized a panel discussion on promoting access to information to mark International Right to Know day on September 28, 2012, at the Maldives National University (MNU). Panelists covered the relationship between freedom of information and democracy, public participation, good governance, and corruption. They highlighted shortcomings in the current RTI legal framework and features of an ideal RTI regime. Panelists included Mr. Muaviz Rasheed (Vice President of ACC), Uz. Mohamed Anil (Chairperson of Democracy House), and Mr. Aiman Rasheed (Advocacy Manager of TM). The event was recorded and aired on TVM and Raajje TV.
