ATM services established in all inhabited islands of H.Dh. Atoll

Bank of Maldives (BML) has established ATM services in all inhabited islands of H.Dh. Atoll. The target was achieved during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's visit to the atoll. ATMs were inaugurated in Finey, Hanimaadhoo, Naivaadhoo, Nellaidhoo, Nolhivaram, Nolhivaranfaru, Vaikaradhoo, Neykurendhoo, Kurinbee, and Kumundhoo. The inauguration ceremonies were attended by President Muizzu, Ministers, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, BML CEO Mohamed Shareef, and senior bank officials. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade signed an agreement with BML to install ATMs in all islands of Maldives under the government's policy to ensure financial inclusion across all inhabited islands.

President Muizzu embarks on 13-island visit in Haa Dhaalu

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu departed on an official tour of 13 inhabited islands in Haa Dhaalu Atoll as part of his pledge to visit every atoll. He will meet with island councils, Women's Development Committees, and residents to discuss urgent needs and long-term aspirations. The visit aims to assess living conditions and align government policies with public concerns. The islands scheduled for visit are: Hanimaadhoo, Naivadhoo, Finey, Hirimaradhoo, Nellaidhoo, Nolhivaranfaru, Kurinbi, Nolhivaran, Kulhudhuffushi, Kumundhoo, Vaikaradhoo, Neykurendhoo, and Makunudhoo. A high-level delegation including cabinet ministers accompanies the President.

Gov’t choses Nellaidhoo as first island for Waqf Project implementation

The government selected Nellaidhoo in Haa Dhaalu Atoll as the first island for the Waqf project implementation. An agreement was signed between Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and President of Nellaidhoo Council Mohamed Aleef. The project will develop ten outlets for the fishing industry, with profits used to fund mosque development. The minister stated that Nellaidhoo was chosen because its council submitted one of the best proposals.
