Kudoo seeks to question Corrections officials over prison conditions

North Galolhu MP Mohamed Ibrahim (Kudoo) has requested to summon senior officials from Maldives Correctional Service before a parliamentary committee to address concerns over prison conditions. Issues include overcrowding, inadequate medical care, unsupervised administration of psychiatric medications, lack of isolation for contagious diseases, indefinite remand, poor ventilation, sanitation problems, infestations, and lack of sanitary products for female inmates.
