Drone Attack on Pskov Airport Damages Two Military Transport Planes
A drone attack on Pskov Airport in north-western Russia damaged two Ilyushin 76 military transport planes, which caught fire. Initial reports from Tass news agency said four planes were damaged, but Ria news agency later confirmed only two were set ablaze. Pskov's regional governor Mikhail Vedernikov communicated on Telegram that the defence ministry repelled the attack, with no casualties reported. Pskov is over 600 km from Ukraine and near the Estonian border. Ukraine has not claimed involvement, though historically it refrains from commenting on such incidents. Separately, Russian military destroyed four Ukrainian rapid boats in the Black Sea, and downed three drones in Bryansk and one in Oryol region. President Zelensky has previously acknowledged attacks on Russian territory as 'inevitable'.
