Minister Shahid Concludes Visit to Serbia

Maldives, Serbia to Sign Key Agreements

Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid embarked on an official visit to Belgrade, Serbia from May 8-10 to strengthen bilateral ties. He engaged in discussions with First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić. Five key agreements were signed: visa abolition for diplomatic passport holders, trade and investment cooperation, air services, diplomatic education MoU, and sports MoU. This was Shahid's second visit to Serbia; the first was in November 2022, which resulted in a MoU on Bilateral Political Consultations.
