MMPRC Holds Roadshows in South East Asia
MMPRC (Visit Maldives) is hosting a series of networking roadshows in Southeast Asia to strengthen trade relationships. The first event was in Jakarta on 31 July, the second in Kuala Lumpur on 2 August, and the third scheduled in Bangkok. Seventeen prominent Maldivian tourism companies participated. Raffle winners received stays at Adaaran Club Rannalhi, Pullman Maldives Maamutaa, and Furaveri Island Resort and Spa. MMPRC identifies SEA as a key market with 24,573 arrivals by May 2023. The corporation also plans to attend major trade shows like NATAS Holidays 2023 and ITB Asia 2023. This is the second roadshow series in two months; a previous series was held in India in July, with 22 companies presenting to the Indian market, which ranks second in arrivals with 121,046 guests as of 26 July.
