India gives NDA third term, Modi a message
India's NDA won 294 Lok Sabha seats, securing a third term for PM Modi, but the BJP fell short of a majority with 240 seats, relying on allies TDP and JD(U). Modi hailed the mandate as the first third-term since 1962. The BJP suffered losses in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Karnataka, but gained in Odisha. The opposition INDIA bloc performed better than expected, with Congress rising to 99 seats. Modi promised to work with all states for a developed India.
