Government taxi line services launched in Vilingili
The government launched 'Male' Taxi Line' services in Vilingili, inaugurated by Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed. The service began in April 2026 to address taxi shortages in the Male' area. MTCC operates the taxi line and introduced EV transport services in Vilingili. Plans are underway to expand the service to other cities beyond Greater Male'.
