China’s Xiamen Airlines Commences Scheduled Services to Maldives
Xiamen Airlines launched scheduled flights from Xiamen, China to Velana International Airport (VIA) in the Maldives. The inaugural flight used a Boeing 787-8. Starting August 3, the airline will offer three weekly flights using Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 169 seats. MACL and MMPRC officials welcomed the service, which supports the government's goal of two million tourists this year. The airline joins other Chinese carriers operating in the Maldives.
Muizzu Arrives in China on Inaugural State Visit as Maldives-India Relations Deteriorate
