World Oceans Day activities conclude successfully

Government ministries and institutions successfully concluded a series of activities for World Oceans Day, spearheaded by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) in collaboration with multiple organizations. The celebrations included a nationwide fishing competition 'Masrace' with over 200 teams from 64 islands, held on Friday from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A marine festival 'Enmen Moodhah' (Everyone to the Sea) started yesterday morning at 9:00 AM across the islands, featuring water sports, coral planting, food stalls, arts and crafts, face painting, and children's games. Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Resources Ahmed Shiyam met with participants to discuss experiences and gather feedback.
