Maavarulu Airport Acquires Ambulance Buggy, Enhancing Patient Safety and Comfort
Regional Airports Company Ltd. (RACL), operator of Maavarulu Airport in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll, acquired an ambulance buggy with a gurney bed to improve patient transport safety and comfort. Previously, patients were moved on a small pickup truck, which was unsafe and uncomfortable. The acquisition is part of a broader initiative by RACL Managing Director Ahmed Mubeen to enhance airport services nationwide. The airport opened on 4 July 2020 on an uninhabited island.
