Customs seized a large quantity of vaping products concealed in potato chip cans and chocolate powder packets at Male' Commercial Harbour. A special operation on Sunday and Monday recovered 1,108 vape cartridges and 27 vaping devices. The case is under investigation. MPL confirms resolution of shipping disruptions on Colombo route

Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) announced that shipping disruptions on the Colombo route have been resolved. Earlier this year, delays at Male' Commercial Harbour led to congestion, leaving approximately 4,200 containers stranded at Colombo Port, Sri Lanka. The issue was linked to the Middle East war affecting shipping. The Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade coordinated with authorities to expedite clearance and ensure supply of essential goods. MPL confirmed all issues are now resolved.
