Maldives sees three political controversies in early June

Police probe ex-husband threat and coach assault cases

Maldives Police are investigating two separate cases: a man threatened to sell his ex-wife in Hulhumale', and Volleyball Association head coach Sofwan Ahmed is accused of sexually assaulting a female player. No arrests have been made in either case, and police state the first case involves no sexual abuse or human trafficking.
