MPL Launches Dedicated International Maritime Services Website
Maldives Port Limited (MPL) launched the Uthuru Maritime Services (UMS) website on Tuesday, aimed at providing maritime services to the international market for the northern region. CEO Mohamed Wajeeh Ibrahim stated that MPL will collaborate with other companies to offer bunkering, maintenance, and other services. Shimad Ibrahim, Managing Director of STO, announced that the bunkering service will launch in mid-September and is expected to increase foreign exchange inflows. MPL also plans to introduce ancillary services such as speed boat services, pilotage, water bunkering, crew changes, and maintenance.
